The opportunity
Hitachi Energy Transformer Business Unit in Greater China operates across 55 cities, employs over 1,900 staff, and manages 5 transformer manufacturing plants. More than 90% of its sales come from locally manufactured products. We offer a comprehensive portfolio of Transformers Products, Solutions and Services.  Transformers are essential in all electricity-related fields and applications, including power generation, transmission and distribution, oil, chemical and gas, industrial manufacturing, semiconductor and data centers, as well as building and transportation sectors.

How you’ll make an impact
1.You will lead and manage the end‑to‑end procurement process for assigned categories, including supplier identification, evaluation, negotiation, and contract management.
2.You will develop and implement procurement strategies that align with business goals, focusing on cost reduction, quality improvement, and supply chain optimization.
3.You will conduct market research and spend analysis to identify new sourcing opportunities and mitigate supply chain risks.
4.You will negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
5.You will collaborate cross‑functionally with internal stakeholders (e.g., engineering, manufacturing, finance) to understand requirements and ensure procurement meets project needs.
6.You will monitor supplier performance, manage vendor relationships, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
7.You will prepare and present reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and market trends to management.
8.You will ensure adherence to ethical procurement practices and company compliance standards.
9.You will be responsible for ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background
1.Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
2.Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably within a large multinational corporation.
3.Proven track record of successful negotiation and contract management.
4.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
5.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
6.Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle).
7.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment.
8.Professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) are a plus.
