The opportunity

Hitachi Energy Transformer Business Unit in Greater China operates across 55 cities, employs over 1,900 staff, and manages 5 transformer manufacturing plants. More than 90% of its sales come from locally manufactured products. We offer a comprehensive portfolio of Transformers Products, Solutions and Services.  Transformers are essential in all electricity-related fields and applications, including power generation, transmission and distribution, oil, chemical and gas, industrial manufacturing, semiconductor and data centers, as well as building and transportation sectors.
 
Nearly half of our white-collar workforce comprises employees in engineering and scientific fields. How you’ll make an impact
1.You will supervise and lead a team of production operators and technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
2.You will plan, organize, and monitor production schedules to meet demand and delivery deadlines.
3.You will ensure adherence to all safety regulations, company policies, and quality control procedures (e.g., ISO standards).
4.You will optimize production processes for efficiency, cost reduction, and continuous improvement.
5.You will troubleshoot and resolve production issues, equipment malfunctions, and material shortages.
6.You will maintain accurate production records, including output, scrap rates, and labor hours.
7.You will collaborate with other departments (e.g., engineering, quality, maintenance, logistics) to ensure smooth operations.
8.You will conduct regular team meetings, communicate production goals, and foster a positive work environment.
9.You will implement and enforce lean manufacturing principles and 5S methodology.
10.You will participate in root cause analysis for production deviations and implement corrective actions.

Your background
1.Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
2.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in heavy equipment or electrical components (transformers a significant plus).
3.Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and quality management systems
4.Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a production team.
5.Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
6.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Mandarin.
7.Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in an industrial setting.
