Hitachi Energy is seeking Senior DevOps Engineer for its Bangalore, IN location and be part of a global organization with offices in Houston, San Jose (CA.), Vasteras (Sweden) and Krakow (Poland). Under limited direction, perform complex assignments requiring diversified knowledge Software development and software engineering to cost effectively accomplish the organization's goals and objectives. Proactively seek and implement initiatives to improve quality and increase customer satisfaction.

• Build, package and deploy software product applications on internal test systems
• Help implement process and tools improvements related to configuration management
• Perform entry-level debugging of the source code to facilitate resolution of integration problems
• Automate repetitive tasks by scripting and development of software tools
• Share your experience and skills with other team members
• Use agile development methodologies that require active participation in all team’s duties.

Your background:

• Experience with build management tools (Azure DevOps , GIT and Jenkins), Hands on experience on creating Azure CI/CD pipelines
• GIT repo via ADO. ADO as work item management + build pipelines and container repo.
• Windows and Linux (Red Hat preferred) knowledge at administration level
• Development skills, preferably shell scripting: PowerShell, Perl, ksh, bash, but also Python, C++/C#/Java
• Knowledge of MSI and RPM packaging and Podman Containers
• Knowledge of Linux, Ansible,Kafka
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with 5-10 years of experience.
• Ability to develop innovative solutions to problems and make decisions regarding quality matters.
• Possess a diversified knowledge of engineering, electric utilities, and related functions.
• In-depth knowledge of product development and Agile processes.
