Semiconductor Shift Maintenance Engineer – Implant 80 – 100% (f/m/d)

The opportunity


Are you passionate about driving innovation and ensuring maximum uptime of semiconductor production tools? As an Implant Maintenance Engineer/Technician, you play a vital role in ensuring the availability, reliability, and continuous improvement of our semiconductor production tool park. Your focus is on the corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance of implant equipment, working cross-functionally to drive safety, productivity, and general tool and workflow optimizations across the production line.


How you’ll make an impact

  • Ensure maximum uptime of semiconductor production tools through proactive maintenance and troubleshooting of implant equipment

  • Drive continuous improvement in equipment performance, applying workplace safety and efficiency practices aligned with 6S methodology

  • Collaborate closely with other maintenance, process, and production teams to achieve performance goals and optimize line efficiency

  • Participate in tool upgrades and modernization projects to enhance tool capability and reliability

  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of maintenance activities, equipment status, and system performance

  • Support root-cause analysis and problem resolution for technical issues within the team

  • Train and mentor colleagues in the areas of implant, safety, and best maintenance practices

  • Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, procedures and documentations

Your background

  • Hands-on experience in maintenance of semiconductor production tools

  • Solid understanding of electronics, mechanics and pneumatics

  • Minimum 3 years of experience with ion implanters (such as AMAT or Nissin or Axcelis)

  • Familiarity with metrology tools for process control (Semilab WT-2000)

  • Additional training or expertise in vacuum systems or related technologies

  • Completed technical vocational training (e.g., Automation Technician, Electronics Technician, or similar field)

  • Willingness to work in shifts is a must

  • Strong team player with problem-solving mentality, organizational skills, and proficiency in English (German is a plus)
