Hitachi Energy and FC Bayern Women are launching a new partnership. The global technology leader in electrification is now a sponsor of FC Bayern Women. In the second half of the season, the Hitachi brand will feature on the sleeve of the team’s jerseys in the UEFA Women’s Champions League and the Women’s DFB Pokal. The partnership is agreed for a five-year term.
FC Bayern Women have long embodied sporting excellence, continuous development, and growing international relevance, while promoting values that help shape a better society. Hitachi Energy is deploying innovative power transmission technologies worldwide, critical for the secure supply of abundant and affordable electricity that supports economic growth and improves quality of life and opportunities for all. Both share the ambition to shape the future.
The partnership reaches its first sporting milestone in early April, when FC Bayern Women will play the second leg of the UEFA Women’s Champions League quarter-final at the Allianz Arena, marking the team’s third appearance at the iconic stadium this season.
Progress is driven by teams that unite performance, discipline, and strong values - FC Bayern Women embody these principles. This partnership reflects our shared commitment to inspiring society, where both sport and electricity enhance quality of life for all.
This partnership also shines a light on the technologies that keep electricity secure and reliable, quietly powering progress every day and only truly noticed when the lights go out.
The collaboration with Hitachi Energy takes our women's sponsorship to a new level, and we are very happy to have gained this international technology leader and long-established company as a partner. The long-term agreement is both an important milestone and recognition for our FC Bayern Women's team.
Like FC Bayern, Hitachi Energy stands for reliability, success and a commitment to social responsibility. Under the motto ‘shape the future’, we want to actively shape the future. Our women footballers are role models for entire generations, and we want to use this charisma to create positive momentum.
We are delighted about this new partnership with Hitachi Energy, which will help us to drive forward our development in women's soccer. A partnership like this generates energy – in the truest sense of the word. Our team brings power to the pitch, and together we will create powerful momentum– and the fact that this partnership also focuses on societal issues is further proof of its sustainable foundation.
FC Bayern Women have been among Europe’s top teams for years, winning three German championships in the past four seasons and competing regularly in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
In addition to the jersey branding on the sleeve, the partnership includes joint communication, storytelling and matchday activations.
With this engagement, Hitachi Energy underscores its commitment to not only contribute to powering the electricity era, but to also support the broader transformation reshaping society.
