Global Pricing Manager - High Voltage Switchgear

The opportunity 

The Global Pricing Manager for High Voltage Electric Switchgear is responsible for developing and implementing pricing strategies for configurable and engineered-to-order products. This role requires expertise in pricing methodologies, negotiation frameworks, and market analysis to optimize profitability and competitiveness on a global scale.  

 

How you will make an impact 

 

Pricing Strategy Development 

   - Develop and execute global pricing strategies for high voltage electric switchgear products. 

   - Ensure pricing strategies align with company objectives and market conditions. 

 

Market Analysis 

   - Conduct thorough market analysis to understand competitive pricing, market trends, and customer value drivers. 

   - Utilize data and insights to inform pricing decisions and identify opportunities for pricing optimization. 

 

Configurable and Engineered-to-Order Products 

   - Set prices for configurable and engineered-to-order (ETO) high voltage electric switchgear products. 

   - Collaborate with product marketing teams to understand product specifications and cost structures. 

 

Negotiation Frameworks 

   - Apply negotiation frameworks to pricing discussions with customers and partners. 

   - Train and support sales teams in effective negotiation techniques and pricing strategies. 

 

Pricing Models and Tools 

   - Develop and maintain pricing models, tools, and databases to support pricing decisions. 

   - Implement pricing software and tools to streamline pricing processes and improve accuracy. 

 

Performance Monitoring 

   - Monitor pricing performance and profitability, and make data-driven adjustments as needed. 

   - Prepare regular reports on pricing effectiveness, market positioning, and revenue impact. 

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

   - Work closely with sales, marketing, finance, and product teams to ensure pricing strategies are aligned with business goals. 

   - Provide pricing guidance and support to global sales teams. 

 

Your Background 

 

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). 

- Proven experience in pricing management, especially for configurable and engineered-to-order products within the high voltage electric switchgear industry. 

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights. 

- Proficiency in pricing software and tools (e.g., Excel, SAP, Power BI). 

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills. 

- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. 

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 

- Pricing certification (e.g., Certified Pricing Professional) is highly appreciated.
