The opportunity:

We are looking for a Project Primary Engineer located in Greece/Metamorphossis offices with the following Responsibilities/background:

How you will make an impact:

  • Execute all Primary (Electromechanical) scope and sub-suppliers to secure the integrity, completeness and correct function of the substation system.

    • Creation and optimization of functional arrangement dwgs of systems and components in 2D/3D design/models.

    • Perform and review of electromechanical and electrodynamic calculations (steel structure, insulation coordination, earthing grid, lightning protection, battery & chargers calculation studies, lighting studies, cable calculation studies, cable routing drawings...) for the feasibility and definition of projects at basic and detailed engineering level

    • Preparation and review of technical specifications (RFQs) and validation of offered equipment

    • Coordination of design conflicts and its resolution. Ensure clash free design. Civil interference monitoring vs. electromechanical discipline

    • Coordination with Control and Protection systems (single-line diagrams, schematics, cabling, etc.)

    • Review and supervise the electromechanical activity performed by external engineering subcontractors. Management of subcontractor and project engineering progress, including technical reviews issued by suppliers and/or manufacturers

  • Making technical recommendations in the Primary engineering process to ensure all actions are completed according to process requirements and standards, while identifying risks and improvement opportunities.

  • Support Sales & Tendering during tendering (creating conceptual layout drawings, BOQs, etc).

  • Resolve complex technical issues on site (occasional travels, both national/international).

  • Living core values of safety, integrity and quality, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Your background:

  • Mandatory:

    • A University’s degree in electrical engineering (BEng or MEng degree)

    • Basic knowledge in substation Primary engineering and execution

    • Strong computer’s knowledge

    • 2D (Autocad) design tools.

    • Languages: Greek (native / C2), English (B2)

    • Strong commitment to safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines.

    • A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and desire to learn about new technologies.

    • A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach with strong communication skills to quickly resolve project related activities and issues.

  • The following will be considered positively:

    • Knowledge of Power Systems, Grid Studies, Renewable Energy and Transmission Systems.

    • Basic Knowledge of control systems (SLD, schematics and cabling).

    • BIM methodology knowledge will be considered as an asset

    • 3D design tools (Revit). Autodesk Construction Cloud environment (optional)

    • Electrical & Mechanical calculation tools (ETAP, NEPLAN, etc)
