Technical Project Manager

The opportunity

Hitachi Energy is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our team either in Alamo, TN or in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will bring innovative, high-impact projects to life and ensure their successful execution. Your leadership will guide cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives while navigating challenges with agility. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with key stakeholders, drive innovative solutions and deliver exceptional results that make a lasting impact. In addition, you will play a critical role in mentoring project managers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, safety and continuous improvement.

How you will make an impact

  • Lead the project team and oversee all aspects of project execution to achieve goals effectively.

  • Develop comprehensive project plans in collaboration with the Project Controls department, addressing scope, budget, and risks.

  • Manage project execution by ensuring compliance with Hitachi Energy policies and monitoring progress, resources, and financials.

  • Oversee project financials, including invoicing, costs, and cash flow, while identifying and managing risks and opportunities.

  • Ensure consistent application of contract and claims management in line with Hitachi Energy policies, coordinating procurement efforts.

  • Serve as the primary contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues, building strong stakeholder relationships.

  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Mentor team members by providing guidance and fostering a culture of continuous learning and collaboration for professional growth.

Your background

  • Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.

  • Minimum of [ 8] years of project management experience with a proven track record of managing complex projects from initiation to completion.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams toward successful project outcomes.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey project statuses to stakeholders at all levels.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and adapt to changing project requirements.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, being capable of prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines effectively

  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
