Summary of Position

Coil Assemblers assemble finished as required working from drawings and specification sheets. Coil Assemblers pick up coils, put the required end gear on, and stand them with the up-ender. They then straighten spacers and cold press the coils with the hydraulic press. They then load the coils into the ovens for a predetermined amount of time. They then hot press the coils and when ready load the coils into the core oven.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Keep inventory records of coil assembly supplies
  • Check and move material in and out of the storage
  • Stand coils, top coils, press coils, straighten spacers, and move coils Inspect all equipment
  • Operate fork lifts and cranes

Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent plus at least two (2) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment

Additional Skills Required

  • Must be forklift certified
  • Crane and hoist training
  • Strong work ethic
  • Working understanding of basic math
  • Able to read tape measure
