Software Sales Executive - Hunter Role

The Opportunity

In this role, you will focus on expanding the adoption of software solutions that support the evolving power grid and energy landscape. As a Software Sales Executive, you will identify and pursue new business opportunities, working closely with customers to understand their operational needs and align them with digital solutions. Your work will directly contribute to how organizations manage, optimize, and modernize energy systems through software-driven capabilities.

You will engage across the full sales cycle—from prospecting and discovery through proposal development and deal closure—while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support successful customer outcomes. By building relationships with key stakeholders and navigating complex organizational structures, you will help drive growth and strengthen market presence in the software solutions space. This role offers exposure to enterprise software applications within the energy sector and the opportunity to contribute to the digital transformation of power infrastructure.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities through lead generation, networking, and outreach activities
  • Build understanding of the software product portfolio, value proposition, and competitive landscape
  • Conduct discovery discussions with prospective clients to align software solutions with business needs
  • Build and maintain relationships with decision-makers and stakeholders throughout the sales cycle
  • Develop and deliver tailored sales presentations and proposals
  • Negotiate contract terms and close complex software deals to achieve sales targets
  • Apply strategic selling approaches to navigate organizational structures and influence purchasing decisions
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline data within CRM tools
  • Collaborate with pre-sales, professional services, and product teams to support customer onboarding and satisfaction
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Your Background
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
  • Proven track record in a software sales “hunter” role with consistent achievement of sales quotas
  • Experience with lead generation strategies and sales development techniques
  • Knowledge of enterprise software solutions, preferably within the energy sector or related industries
  • Experience across the full sales cycle, including prospecting, qualification, presentation, negotiation, and closing
  • Experience with strategic selling frameworks and methodologies
