The opportunity

Hitachi Energy Transformer Business Unit in Greater China operates across 55 cities, employs over 1,900 staff, and manages 5 transformer manufacturing plants. More than 90% of its sales come from locally manufactured products. We offer a comprehensive portfolio of Transformers Products, Solutions and Services.  Transformers are essential in all electricity-related fields and applications, including power generation, transmission and distribution, oil, chemical and gas, industrial manufacturing, semiconductor and data centers, as well as building and transportation sectors.

How you will make an impact

1. You will maintain and validate material master data for effective material requirements planning runs, coordinating with operational purchasers and category managers to manage critical materials.

2. You will evaluate material availability constraints and develop critical material forecasts, collaborating with category managers to align forecasts with sales contributions.

3. You will define inventory policies based on material portfolio segmentation.

4. You will collaborate with Category Managers and Operational Purchasers to enhance supplier performance in terms of on-time delivery, quality, and lead time.

5. You will support inventory validation and analysis to ensure optimal inventory health, developing action plans for improvement.

6. You will lead and contribute to cross-functional initiatives focused on inventory optimization, forecast accuracy, and supplier on-time delivery.

7. You will communicate project-specific material requirements to supply chain management, ensuring accurate quotation data and coordination with Category Managers or Factory supply chain management.

8. You will manage interfaces between customer service support and transportation and logistics to ensure alignment with factory operations, monitoring key performance indicators to track procurement and supplier

performance.

9. You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

1. Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.

2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in materials planning, inventory management, or supply chain operations.

3. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.

4. Proficient in using ERP systems and MRP software for inventory management and forecasting. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and suppliers.

5. Knowledge of materials management principles, including demand forecasting, inventory control, and supplier management.
