Global Internal HSE Assessment Program Lead - BU Transformers (f/m/d)

The opportunity

BU Transformers is looking for a motivated HSE Assessment Program Lead. In this role, you will be leading the HSE Assessment Program that will help on BU compliance with BUTR HSE Instructions and BU operational audits performed by Quality, Engineering, R&D and bring the right guidance, with trained and competent HSE professionals. Finally, you will monitor the BUTR performance regarding the 3LoD Model, follow up, monitor effective corrective actions implementation and close out. You will provide expert guidance on internal HSE Assessment as well. This position requires solid background on setting up and rolling out internal HSE Assessment Programs, based on ISO Norms, excellent communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

The Program Lead will play a pivotal role in completing the cycle of BUTR strategic HSE development. As we advance our HSE Programs rollout to strengthen Culture and Performance, this position will support the BUTR HSE Function to develop the capability to monitor and verify the HSE Programs effective implementation across our HUBs, Units and BU Functions.

This role will also reinforce actions aligned with the Three Lines of Defense model and enhance our ability to close gaps identified during Global HSE internal audits. By doing so, the HSE Assessment Program Lead will support the rollout of the BU HSE Strategy, supporting cultural transformation and performance improvement as we expand capacity and meet rising operational expectations and targets.

As a global role it is required to travel internationally up to 30% of the time.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Create the BUTR Internal HSE Assessment Program, roll it out across the BU and create the network to support the assessment process complete, supporting and guiding until improvements are effectively implemented.
  • Ensure compliance assessments and inspections are conducted across operational areas and contractor activities, with accurate reporting of findings and timely corrective actions.
  • Contribute to assess and improve BUTR HSE Management Systems.
  • Support other Programs in a transversal way, integrating the Internal HSE Assessment Program output on improvements and learnings for other BU HSE Programs.
  • Ensure a practical and pragmatic approach on problem solving, remaining very close to BUTR Units, creating easy and effective understanding on demands after assessments and support attitude.

Your background

  • University degree (Bachelor or Master) in Occupational Health and Safety, HSE or related field
  • 8+ years' experience in HSE roles
  • Proven experience in auditing, risk assessment, management systems, process improvement, MOC and incident investigation. 
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive cultural change.​​​​
  • Fluent in English. Other languages would be an advantage for candidates.
  • Trained and experienced on ISO 19011, 45001, 14001. Experience on ISO 50001 and 9001, will be convenient.
  • Competent on international HSE legislation.
