The opportunity

Hitachi Energy Transformer Business Unit in Greater China operates across 55 cities, employs over 1,900 staff, and manages 5 transformer manufacturing plants. More than 90% of its sales come from locally manufactured products. We offer a comprehensive portfolio of Transformers Products, Solutions and Services.  Transformers are essential in all electricity-related fields and applications, including power generation, transmission and distribution, oil, chemical and gas, industrial manufacturing, semiconductor and data centers, as well as building and transportation sectors.

How you’ll make an impact

1. You will develop and maintain production and material plans based on customer demand, inventory levels, and production requirements to ensure timely material availability and smooth production operations.

2. You will create and release Purchase Requisitions (PRs) according to material requirements and follow up on procurement progress to support production schedules.

3. You will conduct Available-to-Promise (ATP) checks and provide accurate and timely feedback on material availability and delivery commitments.

4. You will monitor supplier delivery performance, coordinate with Procurement and suppliers to resolve material shortages, and ensure continuity of supply.

5. You will maintain and continuously optimize planning parameters, purchasing models, and inventory control processes to improve planning accuracy and efficiency.

6. You will analyze ERP data and inventory performance, collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, inventory optimization, and cost reduction initiatives.

Your background

1. You hold a bachelor's degree major in Engineering.

2. 1-3 years of experience in Material Planning, Production Planning, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related areas.

3. Familiarity with ERP and MES systems; SAP experience is preferred.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, and data analysis.

4. Knowledge of material planning and inventory management concepts, including ABC classification, safety stock, EOQ, and demand planning.

5. The ability to work both independently and in a team, good at communication, self-motivated on learning and problem solving.

6. Good written and spoken communication skills in English and Chinese.
