IT SCM department is seeking an experienced professional who will both ensure the continuity, stability, and technical governance of existing SCM IT solutions and actively contribute to the design and implementation of new solutions across the domain, with our custom chatbot (Microsoft Teams front end) as the first solution in scope. As the technical authority for the solution, this position ensures architectural integrity, scalability, and long-term sustainability while maintaining a platform-agnostic roadmap aligned with enterprise architecture standards, governance policies, and anticipated business growth as the primary owner of the platform's architectural vision and evolution.

The current chatbot architecture consists of four core components: operational system integrations, omnichannel capabilities, AI services, and the Microsoft Teams front end. In collaboration with internal teams, external providers, the Application Manager, Service Manager, and Business Analyst, this role provides architectural direction, influence technical decisions, and supports the ongoing evolution of the chatbot ecosystem, while serving as the principal advisor for Microsoft Teams operations and reliability (bot availability, authentication‑flow handoff, and message processing).

How you will make an impact

  • Maintain and evolve the end-to-end architecture of the enterprise chatbot ecosystem leveraging the Microsoft Azure stack.
  • Optimize Microsoft Teams chatbot capabilities, including Bots, Message Extensions, Tab Apps, and Adaptive Cards, ensuring reliable user experience end-to-end.
  • Review, refine, and govern integrations with omnichannel platforms and enterprise systems, including Dynamics 365 Omnichannel for customer service, Custom omnichannel middleware (SNow, email, portals) along with omnichannel routing, escalation paths, and multi-channel engagement.
  • Oversee the Knowledge Management (KM) and AI architecture in close collaboration with AI team, including knowledge repositories, Azure AI Search, Azure OpenAI, conversational orchestration, LLM-based response capabilities, and RAG solutions, ensuring alignment with prompt engineering standards, token optimization practices, and Responsible AI principles.
  • Establish and enforce architecture principles, reusable solution patterns, platforms/frameworks, development standards, and security requirements, while promoting technology adoption and mentoring teams on architecture best practices.
  • Lead architecture reviews, solution assessments, and implementation guidance, working closely with business, technical, support, and vendor teams to govern the ongoing evolution of chatbot and omnichannel capabilities.
  • Evaluate emerging Azure AI and Microsoft 365 capabilities, recommending enhancements and adoption opportunities that improve solution effectiveness, scalability, and user experience.
  • Provide architectural guidance and support for other custom .NET applications leveraging the Microsoft Azure technology stack.

Your Background

  • 8+ years of overall experience, including at least 3 years in a similar Solution Architect role,
  • Expertise in Microsoft Teams App development (Bots, Message Extensions, Tab Apps, Adaptive Cards).
  • Strong architecture experience in Microsoft Azure AI stack including understanding of AI components and management (Bot Framework / Agents SDK, Cognitive Services, Azure Functions, proactive notification services).
  • Hands-on experience with Generative AI / LLM solutions (Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, RAG, conversational orchestration, prompt engineering, token optimization). Proficiency in API design and integration with ERP/SCM systems (e.g. SAP S/4 HANA, SAP Ariba, VIM, Omnichannel Messaging API).
  • Experience with lifecycle technology management, including timely updates of SDKs, libraries, and platform components to maintain compatibility with supported Microsoft services and manage product deprecations.
  • Experience providing architectural leadership for custom .NET applications on Microsoft Azure, defining architecture principles, reusable solution patterns, development standards, and security requirements while mentoring technical teams on best practices. Proven experience in AI business requirements management, designing solutions and coordinating development activities with both technical and business stakeholders. Fluent English.
