System Architect – Power Quality and Grid Solutions

The opportunity
We are looking for a highly motivated and ambitious system architect to define and govern the architecture, principles, methods, and technology foundations for industrial control systems, operational technology, digital solutions, and service-oriented lifecycle capabilities.

As our System Architect, you will lead the development of end-to-end control system and OT architectures for complex industrial environments. You will ensure that automation, cybersecurity, system integration, reliability, and operational readiness are built into the solution from day one, while providing technical leadership throughout the full lifecycle, from concept and deployment to operation and modernization.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Define and govern the architecture, standards, and governance model for industrial control systems and OT platforms.
  • Establish architecture principles for automation systems, protection functions, HMI/SCADA, communication networks, edge infrastructure, and system integrations.
  • Own technology roadmaps, lifecycle requirements, upgrade strategies, modernization initiatives, and release readiness for OT solutions.
  • Ensure architectural alignment throughout the full lifecycle, from engineering and commissioning to operations, maintenance, upgrades, and end-of-life transitions.
  • Drive the integration of digital engineering, OT, and IT platforms, enabling simulation, deployment, condition monitoring, analytics, and digital twin capabilities.
  • Define observability and serviceability requirements, including monitoring, diagnostics, logging, alarms, fault isolation, and operational analytics.
  • Integrate cybersecurity, safety, reliability, resilience, and compliance requirements into system and network architectures while supporting risk assessments and architecture reviews.
  • Act as the technical authority for control systems and OT architecture, collaborating across disciplines and promoting lifecycle engineering and security-by-design practices.

Your background

  • PhD or Master’s degree in Control Systems, Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in industrial control systems, automation, power systems, or other mission-critical industrial environments.
  • Proven track record in defining and governing control system and OT architectures, covering software, hardware, networks, cybersecurity, and lifecycle management.
  • Strong hands-on experience with automation platforms, system integration, commissioning, operational support, and OT/IT integration.
  • Deep technical expertise in ICS, SCADA, HMI, PLC, DCS, Protection & Control Systems, and systems engineering principles.
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity, resilient system design, diagnostics, digital twins, simulation technologies, and operational readiness.
  • Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams, technical governance activities, and architecture-driven decision-making.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with a systems-thinking mindset and proven ability to drive innovation, stakeholder alignment, and continuous improvement across global organizations.
