Strategic AI Program Manager Finance

The Strategic AI Program Manager for capability Finance is accountable for driving the end-to-end delivery of Custom-Built AI solutions in Hitachi Energy, supporting the finance capability across BUs, supporting them meet the related strategic objectives.

This role acts as the primary bridge between Business stakeholders, either in Business Units or in Global Functions and the Data, Analytics & AI (DAAI) organization, ensuring that business requirements involving Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Generative AI, and Advanced Analytics are translated into scalable, governed, and architecture-compliant solutions.

The Strategic AI Program Manager will manage both the internal AI Delivery Leads and a set of external resources.

How you will make an impact

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of a set of AI use cases and projects within the capability Finance, ensuring they are properly scoped, planned and executed on time, and within budget and measured against the early defined success criteria.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Use Case sponsors, DAAI Heads in the BUs, Finance business stakeholders, IT, and Data, Analytics & AI Teams, ensuring proper execution of use cases in scope.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of AI Delivery Leads responsible for the successful execution of AI initiatives across the Finance capability.
  • Ensures the development of detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation for the projects in the scope
  • He is accountable for the creation Statements of Work and manage external vendors and partners to ensure successful solution delivery.
  • Monitor project progress across the AI use case portfolio, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Provides active support to the AI Delivery Leads for the capability Finance, acting as first line of escalation.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to multinational project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Your Background

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience as a Project/Delivery Manager, preferably delivering AI projects. 5+ years as people manager
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional delivery teams.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills combined with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Domain experience in Finance is a strong plus. Agile Scrum Master certification and technical knowledge of AI systems and solutions is a plus.
