Customer Training Coordinator – HVDC


The Opportunity:

Hitachi, Ltd. is seeking a Customer Training Coordinator for our High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) division. This role is responsible for the effective planning, organization, and delivery of technical training programs to our HVDC customers, ensuring they are proficient in the operation and maintenance of Hitachi HVDC systems.

How you’ll make an impact:

* Collaborate with HVDC engineering, project management, and sales teams to identify customer training needs and develop comprehensive training plans.
* Design, develop, and update training materials, including presentations, manuals, exercises, and assessments, tailored to specific HVDC technologies and customer requirements.
* Schedule and coordinate all aspects of training delivery, including instructor availability, classroom/lab setup (virtual and in-person), equipment requirements, and logistical arrangements for participants.
* Deliver engaging and effective technical training sessions to diverse customer audiences, ranging from operators and technicians to engineers, ensuring a high level of comprehension and practical skill development.
* Provide hands-on instruction and practical exercises related to HVDC system operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety procedures.
* Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback mechanisms, assessments, and follow-up activities, and implement improvements as necessary.
* Maintain accurate records of training activities, participant attendance, and certifications.
* Stay current with advancements in HVDC technology and incorporate relevant updates into training programs & Act as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries regarding HVDC training & Travel internationally as required to deliver on-site training at customer locations. Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. Your background:


* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a technical training role, preferably within the power generation, transmission, or industrial automation sectors.
* Strong understanding of High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) systems, including converters, control systems, protection, and operational principles.
* Proven experience in developing and delivering technical training content to adult learners.
* Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
* Proficiency in creating engaging training materials using various software tools (e.g., PowerPoint, e-learning platforms).
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
* Fluency in English is required; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
* Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30-40% of the time.
