How Haronid Moreno propels the production and distribution of renewable energy sources in North America.
Hi. My name is Haronid Moreno, and I am an Account Manager for Hitachi Energy based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The key feature of my role is contributing to the production of new, clean energy sources, aiding their development and distribution within North America.
I’m an electrical engineer by education. I love seeing how our continuous innovations in technology are making a direct impact in creating sustainable energy systems. For example, Hitachi Energy’s Vegetation Management and Lumada Asset Performance systems are helping to create secure, resilient, and reliable power grids worldwide. In dealing directly with these resources and services, my position allows me to actively make a difference on a global scale and tackle climate change head-on.
I am #ProudToBeHitachiEnergy as we are working to create an inclusive and diverse work environment where everyone feels respected, trusted, and valued.
One of the proudest moments of my career, and one I received praise from the management team, was at a training session I led for women in engineering. The session centered on building confidence and encouraging the pursuit of leadership positions in an industry actively seeking more female talent. Overall, the session yielded positive results for gender equity and KPI and improved my public speaking skills.
I am #ProudToBeHitachiEnergy as we are working to create an inclusive and diverse work environment where everyone feels respected, trusted, and valued. This aligns with our purpose of caring for one another, a central principle that is integral to our team in Canada and a foundation for many of our commitments, policies, programs, and resources.
