Engineering Manager - Insulation & Components, Transformers

The opportunity

For our business unit Transformers (Insulation & Components division) we are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager based in Dilovasi.

How you'll make an impact

  • You will manage Engineering processes are fit for purpose as required by customers and international standards.
  • You will manage Engineering function for Insulation and Components factories of Transformers and deliver with high quality, on time and on budget meeting the success criteria specification.
  • You will manage process of designs to engineering deliverables, enhance the review culture, processes, and methods.
  • You will manage engineering performance to improve engineering quality and productivity through engineering KPIs. Ensure engineering KPIs are updated, tracked, analyzed and actions.
  • You will manage design control mechanisms, such as design check points, design reviews within engineering and with other parties like operation and customer (evaluate design input, processes, and design output)
  • You will improves design processes to increase design quality and productivity.
  • You will manage project risk as defined by EoCs.
  • You will manage engineering parts related to test failures and field failures RCA.
  • You will manage verification and validation practices are effective, such as Quality inspection cards, EoCs and Test results.
  • You will Drive Design Anywhere and Produce Anywhere process changes.
  • You will manage Engineering X-Matrix.
  • You are responsible for internal and external audits to engineering department.
  • You must ensure the Implement of the latest design checklist and technical standards.
  • You will manage to reduce design mistakes and cost of poor quality related to engineering.
  • You will encourage the engineering team to participate monthly design mistake sharing and knowledge management.
  • You will ensures appropriate engineering competencies are developed and available in Hub APMEA engineering according to current and future market requirements.

  • Act as a key link between R&D, Global Product Support, and the Factory, ensuring smooth communication, knowledge transfer, and alignment across teams.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across departments and with external customers and suppliers to understand needs, resolve issues, and deliver technical solutions that add value.
  • Apply robust analytical and critical thinking to solve complex challenges and to perform comprehensive risk reviews.

Your background

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent professional experience required.
  • >15 years of experience.
  • Hands-on experience in mechanical tasks, particularly in breaker development and product care.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong networking skills with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Solution-oriented and supportive mindset, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Skilled in using CREO or other 3D CAD programs for mechanical design and development.
  • Ability to cooperate and communicate both with experts at an academic level, as well as colleagues and project members with expertise in other areas
  • Genuine interest and curiosity about technology.
  • Ability and willingness to acquire new knowledge and skills.
  • Team player who finds it easy to cooperate with others.
  • Availability to travel 15-20 days per year.
