Off Shift Occupational Health Nurse

As an Occupational Health Nurse, you will play a vital part in supporting employee well-being and fostering a culture of safety within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with employees, leadership, and external partners to ensure a healthy, compliant, and engaged workforce.

You will take ownership of health-related programs, injury management, and preventative initiatives—helping to create a safer workplace every day. This role is ideal for a healthcare professional who thrives in a fast-paced setting and enjoys balancing clinical care with proactive health strategies.

Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

The typical schedule for this role is 3:30 PM to midnight, offering an evening shift that supports work-life balance. Flexibility is key, as there will be requests to support third shift coverage—providing variety and a chance to further expand your impact across operations.

How you'll make an impact

  • Provide care for work-related and non-work-related injuries and illness

  • Lead injury case management and return-to-work coordination

  • Partner with external providers and workers’ compensation teams

  • Maintain OSHA logs and ensure accurate recordkeeping

  • Administer occupational health programs (e.g., hearing, respiratory)

  • Conduct medical evaluations and pre-employment screenings

  • Support emergency preparedness and train First Responder Team

  • Promote wellness through education, screenings, and vaccination programs

Your background

  • Active RN or LPN license in Virginia

  • Minimum 5 years of nursing experience

  • Strong knowledge of OSHA and workplace health standards

  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial settings preferred

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to manage multiple cases with attention to detail
