Meet Our People - Ramya Lingaraj

My role at Hitachi Energy played a vital role in shaping my career. I had the opportunity to work on a high-end analytical project where the output & insights produced was directly reviewed by our CFO, Ismo Haka. This in turn also opened the doorway to many new projects to explore.

I am Ramya Lingaraj. I started my journey since 2021, with Hitachi Energy as a Data Analyst as a contract employee at the Controlling Capability Centers. It was a dream come true when I was offered a permanent role and promoted as a Lead. Today, I lead a team of four under data analytics & visualization in the Digital & AI Labs. It has been an exciting journey where I learned something new every day. I was able to push myself to the to the fullest in bringing out innovative solutions and enhance my leadership skills.

My role at Hitachi Energy played a vital role in shaping my career. I had the opportunity to work on a high-end analytical project where the output & insights produced was directly reviewed by our CFO, Ismo Haka. This in turn also opened the doorway to many new projects to explore.

Our leadership always ensured that I was appreciated for my efforts and my art of storytelling in the products that I developed. I also had multiple opportunities to showcase my interest in public speaking, event organizing, and training skills across various forums, which not only helped me accelerate my growth but also work with more satisfaction and greater self-confidence.

As data analyst, we have been always taught a myth, - more analytics need more data. But, with data analytics and visualization being an integral part of my career, I have been able to challenge this, and continuously deliver top-notch analysis with a limited amount of data. It is said that “If you torture the data enough, it will confess to anything…" and it holds true in my experience. Today, I have been successful in proving that varied analysis does not require large chunks of data.

At Controlling Capability Centers, the finance professionals run the core business, while software professionals enhance the business with technology – a typical example of great collaboration of business and technology. This dynamic environment helped me to understand the impact of the products we developed for various business units across the globe.
