Our journey as Hitachi Energy starts today
We are pleased to share with you that, as of today, we have evolved to become Hitachi Energy.

The compelling drive behind our change of name from Hitachi Energy to Hitachi Energy is the urgency of a clean energy transition – a topic which our diverse team of 38,000 people across more than 90 countries feel passionate about – and which we are championing through innovation and collaboration.
At Hitachi Energy, we continue to put sustainability at the heart of our Purpose, 'Advancing a sustainable energy future for all'. We believe that there are many pathways towards a carbon-neutral future – and they are all needed to tackle this global challenge of our times – inclusively and equitably.
By 2050, global electrification will near double in demand and electricity will be the backbone of the entire energy system. And with our brand name, Hitachi Energy, we are broadening our commitment to creating real impact for customers across a wider range of sectors – from utilities and renewables, through transportation and industries, to data centers and smart life (cities).
At Hitachi Energy we have pioneered many of the technologies needed for advancing a sustainable energy future for all and enabling the digital transformation needed. We remain committed to continuing to push the boundaries of innovation and together with you, we are helping to make the world’s energy system sustainable, flexible and secure.
Delivering on the promise of a carbon-neutral future will take energy, trust and innovation – and the benefits will be immense for both our generations and those to come. We remain as committed as ever to our partnership and bringing the authentic passion and enduring ownership to solve this shared challenge.
While we are changing our brand name, our global headquarter’s legal name, and legal entity names in the countries over the coming months, there are no changes to our organizational structure or to the governance of the Hitachi – ABB Joint Venture.
