Expert Engineer

We are looking for an Expert Engineer to join our team in the BU Service and play a key role in shaping the future of our products and technologies. How you’ll make an impact

• Close collaboration with R&D departments and build-up of technical expertise in fields like IEC/IEEE Standards, very fast transients (VFTs), dielectrics, thermal, earthing concepts, circuit breakers and insulation gases
• Providing internal trainings for Technics
• Providing mechanical and electrotechnical expertise and taking decisions in complex troubleshooting cases, customer projects and quality cases
• Creation and release of technical reports and statements towards customers
• Close collaboration with sales: Support in customer meetings, review and analysis of complex customer specifications, providing technical trainings to sales colleagues
• 10-20% of travelling

Your background 

• Master in electrical engineering or physics with vast technical knowhow and knowledge in high voltage applications and gas-insulated switchgears
• 5 years minimum experience in R&D environment
• Analytical work methodology, engaged, and cost-conscious
• Independent, well-structured, and reliable way of working, with self-control of activities and a distinct ability to work in a team 
• Excellent communication skills to lead technical meetings both internally and externally with customers and suppliers 
• Fluency in English; German is an advantage
