Project Supply Chain Manager

The Opportunity

As Project Supply Chain Manager, you play a critical role in project execution. You own supply chain activities from bid phase through project delivery. You ensure compliant procurement, strong supplier performance, and optimal commercial outcomes. Acting as a key interface between engineering, tender teams, legal, cost controlling, and project management, you secure best value while managing risk in a fast‑paced, international environment.

This role suits a hands-on professional with strong procurement and contract expertise, a structured mindset, and the confidence to collaborate across functions and cultures.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Control and manage procurement bid processes from initial startup through Submitting the proposal to customer in close cooperation with our tender engineers, including developing bid documents, evaluating proposals, and conducting negotiations.

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and administer a wide range of procurement activities, RFQ's, purchase orders, and statements of work, ensuring adherence to legal and company policies.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., legal, Tender dept, cost controlling, project teams and for sure SCM) to understand procurement needs, define contract terms, and mitigate risks.

  • Monitor contract performance, identify potential issues, and facilitate resolution of disputes or breaches.

  • Develop and implement procurement best practices, policies, and procedures to optimize efficiency and compliance.

  • Conduct market research and supplier analysis to support strategic sourcing initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant Hitachi, Ltd. policies, ethical guidelines, and regulatory requirements.


Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Law, Electrical Engineering or a related field.

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in technical procurement, contract management, or bid administration, preferably within a large, multinational corporation.

  • Fluent Dutch language skills (written and verbal) and strong English.

  • Demonstrated expertise in drafting, negotiating, and managing complex commercial contracts.

  • Strong understanding of procurement best practices, legal principles related to contracts, and risk management.

  • Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Certification in Procurement (e.g., Nevi, C.P.M., CPSM) or Contract Management (e.g., CFCM) is a plus.
