Project Management Officer - Gas Insulated Switchgear 80 – 100% (f/m/d)

The opportunity

In this role, you will report to the Department Manager of Project Management and support a growing global team of more than 70 Project Managers globally. You will play a key role in strengthening project execution excellence for our Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) customer projects by shaping robust processes, governance, and continuous improvement initiatives across a diverse project portfolio.

This position offers a unique opportunity to combine strategic process ownership, portfolio governance, and continuous improvement leadership in an international project environment.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve project management processes, standards, and governance across a global project portfolio

  • Strengthen process and portfolio competence to ensure transparency and on‑time delivery (OTD) of customer projects

  • Translate lessons learned from project execution into structured continuous improvement (CI) actions

  • Lead and support mid‑term strategic project management initiatives in close cross‑functional collaboration

  • Act as an escalation point for systemic project management issues and drive sustainable resolutions

  • Ensure project management methods, tools, and IT systems are fit for purpose and continuously optimized

  • Leverage data analytics to support data‑driven decision‑making and identify improvement opportunities

  • Actively contribute to and collaborate within the CI community, fostering a learning and improvement culture

Your background

  • 5+ years of experience in project management within complex, international project environments

  • Strong expertise in project management processes, governance, and portfolio management

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt with a strong continuous improvement mindset

  • Experience in business analysis and applying Lean concepts in a technology-driven environment

  • Proven leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills

  • Experience managing external partners and contract resources

  • Active member of a CI community, with a collaborative and knowledge-sharing mindset
