CPC Project Controller Team Lead - CP&O

The Opportunity

Provide leadership and subject-matter expertise to a team of Project Controlling specialists and analysts. The role is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant project financial controlling services across the full project lifecycle, while driving standardization, continuous improvement, and value-added financial insights within the service model. Being the key point of contact between Business and Finance.

How will you make an impact

  • Strong understanding of end-to-end project controlling processes, including:  

  • Project budgeting, forecasting, and cost-to-complete 

  • EAC / ETC calculations and variance analysis 

  • Revenue recognition and margin analysis 

  • Change orders, claims, and risk provisioning 

  • Solid knowledge of financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance requirements 

  • Ability to translate financial data into actionable insights for project and business management 

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Leadership & Behavioral Skills 

  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop team members in a dynamic environment 

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across finance, project management, and operations 

  • Ability to drive change, standardization, and continuous improvement while maintaining service stability 

  • Structured, detail-oriented, and outcome-driven mindset 

  • Capable of handling peak workloads and meeting strict deadlines with consistent quality 

Technical Skills 

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint 

  • Strong experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP PS/CO, S/4HANA) 

  • Experience with project management and reporting tools, planning systems, and BI solutions 

  • Strong understanding of data flows across project, finance, and controlling systems 

  • Project controlling certification is an added advantage.

  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in Finance or Controlling, with at least 2–3 years in Project Controlling 

  • Proven people leadership experience in a shared service, CCC, or matrix organization 

  • Experience supporting complex, multi-entity, or multi-country projects 

  • Exposure to EPC, manufacturing, energy, construction, or industrial project environments is preferred 

Your Background

  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in Finance or Controlling, with at least 2–3 years in Project Controlling 

    Proven people leadership experience in a shared service, CCC, or matrix organization 

    • Experience supporting complex, multi-entity, or multi-country projects 

    • Exposure to EPC, manufacturing, energy, construction, or industrial project environments is preferred.
