Quality Engineer intern

The opportunity

Hitachi Energy Transformer Business Unit in Greater China operates across 55 cities, employs over 1,900 staff, and manages 5 transformer manufacturing plants. More than 90% of its sales come from locally manufactured products. We offer a comprehensive portfolio of Transformers Products, Solutions and Services.  Transformers are essential in all electricity-related fields and applications, including power generation, transmission and distribution, oil, chemical and gas, industrial manufacturing, semiconductor and data centers, as well as building and transportation sectors.

How you’ll make an impact

1. You will assist Quality Engineers in organizing and implementing the quality management system to ensure products meet company and industry standards.

2. You will participate in analyzing and solving quality issues, support the development and implementation of improvement measures.

3. You will responsible for collecting, organizing, and analyzing daily quality data; regularly prepare quality reports.

4. You will support quality training activities to enhance employees’ quality awareness.

5. You will participate in supplier audits and evaluations to maintain product quality stability.

6. You will support problem-solving and continuous improvement by applying common quality tools such as the QC tools, 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC, and MSA.

7. You will be responsible for ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

1. You hold a bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Mechanical, Electronic, Materials, or related fields.

2. Knowledge of and basic ability to use common quality tools is preferred, such as 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, SPC, MSA, FMEA, and APQP.

3. Familiarity with ISO9001 or other quality management systems is preferred.

4. Proficient in office software and basic data analysis skills.

5. Detail-oriented, responsible, and dedicated.

6. Good communication skills and a strong sense of teamwork; passionate about quality management.
