The opportunity

Hitachi Energy Transformer Business Unit in Greater China operates across 55 cities, employs over 1,900 staff, and manages 5 transformer manufacturing plants. More than 90% of its sales come from locally manufactured products. We offer a comprehensive portfolio of Transformers Products, Solutions and Services.  Transformers are essential in all electricity-related fields and applications, including power generation, transmission and distribution, oil, chemical and gas, industrial manufacturing, semiconductor and data centers, as well as building and transportation sectors.

How you’ll make an impact
1.You will perform detailed electromagnetic, thermal, and mechanical design calculations for power and distribution transformers.
2. You will develop and optimize transformer designs using specialized software and simulation tools.
3. You will prepare technical specifications, drawings, and bills of materials for manufacturing.
4. You will conduct design reviews and collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and sales teams to ensure design manufacturability and customer satisfaction.

5. You will analyze test results and provide technical support during the transformer testing and commissioning phases.
6. You will investigate and resolve design-related issues, implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
7. You will stay updated with industry standards, regulations, and new technologies in transformer design.
8. You will contribute to research and development activities for innovative transformer solutions.

9. You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
2. Strong understanding of electromagnetic theory, insulation systems, and thermal management principles for transformers.
3. Experience with CAD software for mechanical design (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo).
4. Knowledge of international standards (e.g., IEC, GB, ANSI/IEEE) for transformers.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Good teamwork awareness and self-motivated.
7. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
