Business Analyst & Sales Operations Specialist

The Opportunity

Hitachi Energy is seeking a dynamic and analytical professional to support sales excellence, business intelligence, and strategic growth initiatives. In this role, you will drive data-driven decision-making through advanced sales analytics, forecasting, pipeline management, and process governance. You will collaborate closely with sales, finance, and business leadership teams to enhance operational effectiveness, improve forecasting accuracy, and identify opportunities for sustainable business growth.


How You'll Make an Impact

  • Develop and maintain sales performance dashboards, metrics, and key performance indicators to monitor business performance.
  • Analyze order intake, sales pipeline, market share, and customer trends to identify growth opportunities and potential business risks.
  • Generate actionable insights that enhance sales productivity, improve conversion rates, and support strategic decision-making.
  • Manage and coordinate sales forecasting activities across regions, product lines, and business segments.
  • Monitor pipeline health, assess forecast accuracy, and support scenario planning to predict business outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen forecasting processes and business predictability.
  • Serve as the custodian of Salesforce CRM, ensuring high standards of data quality, account hygiene, and opportunity management.
  • Standardize sales processes, governance frameworks, and reporting methodologies across the organization.
  • Coordinate business reviews, sales reviews, and management presentations for leadership stakeholders.
  • Partner with finance teams on budgeting, planning, and demand forecasting activities.
  • Design and develop interactive dashboards using Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
  • Automate reporting processes to improve efficiency and ensure timely, accurate, and meaningful reporting to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and business objectives.

Your Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering; MBA is preferred.
  • 4-5 years of experience in sales operations, business development, strategy, business analytics, or sales support functions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex business data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and business intelligence tools such as Power BI.
  • Experience working with Salesforce CRM and sales performance management processes.
  • Strong understanding of sales forecasting, pipeline management, and business reporting.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in customer engagement, market research, business planning, and strategy execution.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and matrix organization environment.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English.
