Senior Product Technical Support Engineer

The opportunity

To build as a Senior Product Technical Support Engineer will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Assembling GIS components & modules into complete bays and performing routine tests through a lean & flow production line with outstanding performance that is targeting the best quality, maximum cost saving and shortest delivery time. Controlling the quality of GIS contributing actively to improving manufacturing process and maintaining safe and clean work environment and leading other technician and provide support for new team members to develop competencies.

Your responsibilities          

• you will be performing Assembly, repairing and routine tests (Mechanical, 10KV, HV, functional & resistance measurements) of GIS bays (including components & modules) according to the prepared work
  instructions, drawings, bill of materials, checklists, guidelines and customer order data.
• You will be fulfilling orders related work packages according to production data and instructions and self-checking of work packages’ results, filling out and confirm on assigned checklists and protocols.
• You will targeting the best performance in term of quality, cost and delivery time and adequation handling of factory equipment and tools, maintain equipment’s and sustain proper continuous calibration.
• You will be quality control and immediate escalation of Quality issues. Record deviation, support root cause of and failure and write quality problem or non-conformance reports 
• You will be supporting of gathering product improvement comment or feedback from the GIS LSC (local Service
  Center) engineers and actively support teamwork, effectively communicate and collaborate with internal customer or stakeholder or colleague (assembly, testing, logistics...etc.).
• You will be independently following the factory rules & guidelines related safety, quality, environment, recycling and
  housekeeping.
• You will be maintaining safe working environment by following Hitachi Energy HSE guideline and reporting of any irregularities and contributing actively to continues improvement process and Lean culture
• You will be providing feedback, sharing ideas and observations whenever possible and employee shall also carry out any tasks that are assigned by management necessary to fulfil the job requirements

Your background             

• A bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering is required.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in production facility (assembly, testing & troubleshooting).
• Knowledge in products, ELK04C, ELK04, ELK03 & ELK14 is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Reading and precise understanding of technical drawings and material lists.
• Excellent verbal & written communications skills and ability to interact professionally with diverse group team player.
• Understanding the lean concept & minimizing all related 7 wastes.
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
