The opportunity:

Highly skilled and motivated Power System Study Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting advanced power system studies across a diverse portfolio of projects including onshore and offshore power systems, Synchronous Condensers (Syncon), Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS), and eMobility infrastructure. The role involves modelling, simulation and analysis using Industry standard tools such as DigSILENT PowerFactory, PSSE, ETAP and PSCAD supporting both Engineering design and grid code compliance activities.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Perform load flow, short-circuit and Arc flash study and dynamic/transient stability analyses.

  • Conduct steady-state and RMS EMT simulations to assess system performance under various operating conditions.

  • Perform voltage regulation, fault ride-through (FRT), and reactive power capability studies for grid code compliance.

  • Carry out harmonic, insulation coordination, and protection coordination studies as required.

  • Evaluate impact of renewable generation (Wind, BESS) or FACTS devices (STATCOM, VSR) on network stability.

  • Develop and validate detailed electrical models of equipment (WTG, transformers, cables, reactors, PPC,     STATCOM, etc.) in simulation tools.

  • Review manufacturer and supplier data sheets to extract electrical parameters. Maintain standardized project study models and ensure version control.

  • Utilize industry-standard simulation tools such as DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSSE, ETAP, PSCAD.

  • Support preparation of grid code compliance documentation (e.g., reactive capability, voltage control, FRT, and frequency response).

  • Prepare study reports, single-line diagrams, and technical presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Stay updated with industry standards, grid codes.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, controls, commissioning) to integrate study results into design deliverables.

  • Provide technical input for concept design, FEED, detailed design, and commissioning support. Review vendor studies and ensure consistency with project requirements.
