My name is Sabri Oezyurt. I originally come from Türkiye, but I have lived in Switzerland for 16 years. Twelve years ago, I started my career in our company, first as an operator, and later I was promoted to process engineer. Today I work as a process specialist in the lithography department at the Lenzburg site. Here we produce semiconductor chips for transistors. For example, the latter enables fast and low-loss switching of electrical currents in railways. My job is to ensure the continuity of production and optimize processes. In parallel with my career, for the past three years I have been attending the higher technical college for business processes and graduated in November.
Solving problems, optimizing processes
My duties include contributing to process improvement and increased efficiency. To do this, we monitor production daily to identify potential errors in advance and minimize their effects. I have a reputation for being particularly fast and reliable, which I like very much. I am particularly proud of two projects. In three weeks, I partially automated a picking process in which material previously had to be sorted manually so that the employees now have more time for other things. In addition, I was able to carry out a new equipment qualification and system integration project in my department. This was the first project that I managed and implemented from start to finish on my own.
I love the multiculturalism in my workplace. I meet interesting and dedicated people from all over the world and get to know different cultures without visiting another country.
Working for a company where research and development projects are as important as they are at Hitachi Energy makes me proud. It allows us to stay at the forefront of technological development in the field of sustainable energy.
Standing up for quality
Completing and delivering projects on time is not always easy. But I work tirelessly to ensure that every project under my name is completed on time and of the highest quality. My name should be a guarantee of quality.
