Testing trainee intern

The opportunity

Hitachi Energy Transformer Business Unit in Greater China operates across 55 cities, employs over 1,900 staff, and manages 5 transformer manufacturing plants. We offer a comprehensive portfolio of Transformers Products, Solutions and Services.  Transformers are essential in all electricity-related fields and applications, including power generation, transmission and distribution, oil, chemical and gas, industrial manufacturing, semiconductor and data centers, as well as building and transportation sectors.

How you’ll make an impact

  • You will prepare transformer test documents.

  • You will design transformer testing tools.

  • You will prepare technical specifications for testing equipment.

  • You will be participating in solving quality problems.

  • You will be making continuous improvement of processes and tools to improve product quality and efficiency.

  • You will be responsible for the compliance and implementation of the corresponding safety production, occupational health and environmental protection responsibilities.

  • You will be responsible for the completion of the transformer and reactor factory test, body test.

  • You will be responsible for the cause analysis of major test failures, investigate, find out the root cause, develop corrective actions and improve relevant procedures.

  • You will be responsible for putting forward technical improvement suggestions and plans for the
    equipment and process of the testing station.

  • You will be responsible for the new project test outline, test station capacity evaluation and give
    opinions and plans.

  • You will train new team members in test operations and processes.

  • You will analyze and evaluate test results and prepare test reports template.

  • You will prepare reviews, manages, and updates the required technical/support documents.

  • You will propose improvements in existing test techniques based on experience and
    knowledge of new trends and equipment.

Your background

  • A Full-time bachelor’s and above degree majored in electrical engineering/ or related majors.

  • Transformer testing experience is preferred (lab working experience is a plus), solid theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Fresh-out students are also welcomed.

  • Be familiar with transformers and related standards.

  • Fluent in both oral and written English to discuss technical issue/communicate with foreign colleagues.

  • Self-motivated, high curiosity and ability to learn new technologies.

  • Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Work conscientiously and carefully.

  • Comply with national regulations of employment age, no gender restrictions.
