My Power Grids Story - Ana Maria Restrepo

Meet Our People | Zurich, Switzerland | 09.06.2020 | 1 min read

I am proud to be Power Grids because I contribute to the growth of renewable energy generation, shaping a better future for new generations. I have a 4-year-old son who will be grateful and proud of the work that I do.

"Manufacture and sell transformers? Before I joined Power Grids it sounded like a very particular task. Nobody wakes up one day wanting to buy a transformer! Later I realized that many people and clients count on us to have an energized city and, through our products, we contribute to a greener and more sustainable future. That inspires me in the work I do at Power Grids along with a team where I can learn from people with very long experience as well as from the new talents that this digital era brings.

Chile leads in the transition to cleaner and more sustainable energy in South America and Power Grids’ efficient, digital transformers, with biodegradable insulating liquids for example, allows me to guide my clients towards more environmentally friendly solutions.

I am excited by the change due to the traditional Japanese culture, that will come from a future with Hitachi, plus new markets that will bring new learning and new ways of doing business. I’m also excited by what we can achieve together to facilitate the sale and execution of projects and to learn from and deliver to our customers.”
