My Power Grids Story - Tim Schneider

At Hitachi ABB Power Grids, our motivation to create agile and valuable benefits for our customers, such as new digital Service solutions, is what brings us together. Through digital transformation, we enable our stakeholders to manage complexity and improve performance. As Market Manager for Grid Integration in Germany, I take pride in building a global workforce with my colleagues that learns from the challenges of our customers and analyzes how digital technologies can solve them.  

To reach the targets of the energy transition towards an intelligent and sustainable power grid, it is important to have high reliability and efficiency across all asset lifecycles of planning, building, operating and maintaining.  In reaching these targets, we utilize and adapt digital technologies e.g. to extend the digital Service offering in a customer-oriented way.

I believe in the Hitachi mission to contribute to society with a pioneering spirit.  It is empowering to be part of a global team that works towards innovation and digitalization.  Every global Power Grids employee can take part in this initiative.  I can’t wait to extend our digital community to new intercultural inspiring minds.
