Product Manager – Asset Modeling

Parangat Bhaskar is the Product Manager for Hitachi Energy’s electricity market modeling suite, which includes Asset Modeling, PROMOD, GridView, and Capacity Expansion software. He leads the end-to-end product lifecycle, market strategy, and cross-functional alignment across this portfolio.

Before joining Hitachi Energy, Parangat held product management roles at several organizations in the energy sector, focusing on enterprise software for wind, solar, storage, and microgrid applications. He also served as a Staff Scientist at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), where he led the development of open-source simulation tools for solar, wind, geothermal, and hydrogen technologies.

Parangat holds a B.S. in Energy Systems Engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
