SeismicRIP®

The SeismicRIP® bushing line from Hitachi Energy is a dry-type resin-impregnated paper (RIP) solution engineered to meet the highest seismic performance standards, including IEEE 693-2005. Designed for outdoor transformer applications, it supports voltages from 69 to 550 kV and currents up to 5,000 A.

With no oil content, SeismicRIP® eliminates explosion risks during seismic events and requires no maintenance or continuous monitoring. Its robust design, validated through dynamic FEM simulations and independent lab testing, ensures reliable, partial discharge-free operation—even up to double service voltage—and allows transport and storage in any position.
