First natural ester power transformer successfully passed the technical appraisal of new products in China for Hitachi Energy

In November 2022, the SWZ13-63000/110 natural ester power transformer produced by Hitachi Energy Zhongshan Transformers Factory (CNZTC) successfully passed the technical appraisal of new products by Guangdong Machinery Industry Association. The appraisal committee recognized this transformer reached the international advanced level of similar products. 

This also means that CNZTC has obtained the bidding qualification for the natural ester power transformer project of China Southern Grid. This product is the world's first EconiQ™ power transformer for Hitachi Energy. The transformer was successfully put into operation in China’s first "zero carbon" substation demonstration project of the State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC)-Gaoxiang (Qingshu) substation in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, in February 2022.

SWZ13-63000/110 natural ester power transformer is a new type of environmental-friendly product, which was developed based on the goal of the whole society to achieve carbon peak and carbon neutralization as soon as possible.
