EconiQTM Technology Webinar Series

August 18 - September 29, 2023 | Online

Hitachi Energy is proud to bring you a series of webinars dedicated to our newly-launched EconiQ Dead Tank Breaker and the future of EconiQ technology in North America!

Join us for three insightful sessions on this new technology, which is leading the way toward energy decarbonization:

  • EconiQ Technology:  Roadmap of the technology
  • EconiQ Technology:  Details and comparison to other alternative gas technologies
  • EconiQ:  Gas handling, gas characteristics and general maintenance

We will be offering these 30 minute sessions that will detail Hitachi Energy’s plans for the EconiQ technology.

Check out the agenda and register now to join the live sessions, each with an opportunity to engage with our experts in Q&A following the presentation!

Remember that you can always watch these sessions on demand after the live session airs as well.

Let us all work together to advance a sustainable energy future for all.

Session 1

EconiQ Technology - Roadmap of the technology - Friday August 18, 2023 – 11:00 EST

Abstract

While providing the same reliability and safety expected of today’s sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) switchgear technology, high voltage gas-circuit-breakers and GIS operating with eco-gas-mix technology which contains no SF6, is proven to also reduce the carbon footprint significantly throughout the entire lifecycle. Thus, significantly lowering the environmental impact of transmission products and solutions in the quest toward carbon-neutrality. The presentation will show the roadmap towards the SF6 free technology, product ratings, show the scalability of the technology and the Life Cycle Analysis tool to compare different technologies.

Learning

  • Available product portfolio for non-SF6 high voltage gas-circuit-breaker
  • Life Cycle analysis for decision making on Carbon footprint
  • 420 kV GIS and DTB rating
  • General Health, Safety and Environmental aspects of gas mixture

Session 2

EconiQ Technology details and comparison to other alternative gas technologies - Friday September 8, 2023 – 11:00 EST

Abstract

The game-changing EconiQ technology will support a responsible way forward for high voltage switchgear, as well as the needs of an evolving high voltage power grid with compact designs lowest lifecycle CO2-equivalent ratings when compared to other technologies. The technology is tested to the IEEE and IEEC standards to allow for implementation of a future oriented technology into today’s grid.

Learning

  • 420 kV GIS and DTB Technology
  • Ratings, technical characteristics
  • Comparison to other technologies

Session 3

EconiQ Gas handling, gas characteristics and general maintenance - Friday September 29, 2023 – 11:00 EST

Abstract

Providing improved reliability and grid resiliency the EconiQ technology is designed with health, safety, and environmental aspects in mind. The technology is based on todays gas-circuit breaker to allow for adaption of operation and maintenance while improving the operational safety and removing environmental risks.

Learning

  • C4FN gas characteristics
  • Gas handling processes for commissioning and during equipment maintenance
  • Available tools and handling processes
  • Health, Safety and Environmental aspects of gas mixture
