Production Engineer

The opportunity

This benchmark is intended for incumbents who have responsibility for more than one Specialization within the Sub-family. A Specialist Para-Professional (S4) requires advanced knowledge of operational procedures and tools obtained through extensive work experience and may require vocational or technical education. Responsibilities may include: Working under limited supervision for non-routine situations and may be responsible for leading daily operations. Training, delegating and reviewing the work of lower level employees. Problems are typically difficult and non-routine but not complex.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Follow standard manufacturing processes to ensure accuracy and optimization. 

  • Follow standard processes, Control and monitor it towards usage of all critical tools in production.

  • Manage, control and allocate the operators to meet production targets.

  • Work closely with the within production, Panning, Purchase, Maintenance & Quality Department for smooth execution.

  • Innovate, suggest and implement all engineering changes in each transformer.

  • Ensure horizontal development and lean manufacturing practices are implemented across product lines.

  • Collaborate within Team to ensure timely execution as per Manufacturing Plan.

  • Ensure micro level planning of each workstation for better execution of Manufacturing plan.

  • Ability to influence without authority across departments and management levels

  • Measurement of all critical equipment OEE & make sure that it should be greater than 90 %.

Your Background

  • B.Tech /BE or Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Instrumentation Engineering

  • 5 to 12 years of experience in relevant field.                                                     

  • Expert knowledge of Power Transformer manufacturing Technique and related technology

  • Strong background of manufacturing processes

  • Good knowledge of MS Office and databases. Candidate with knowledge of SAP preferred.

  • Great attention to detail and results driven approach.

  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities

  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
