Category Manager Travel (f/m/d)

The opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Category Manager for Travel to lead the standardization and simplification of operational and purchasing processes related to travel and corporate credit card solutions. This role requires strong program management expertise, strategic vision, and an ability to collaborate across departments to optimize travel-related spend and streamline corporate card programs.

How you’ll make an impact 
  • Develop and execute category management strategies for travel and corporate credit card solutions in alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Drive the standardization and simplification of travel booking, expense management, and corporate card usage processes.
  • Lead cross-functional program management initiatives, ensuring effective implementation of process improvements and policy updates.
  • Analyze travel spend data and purchasing patterns to identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance supplier relationships.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in procurement, finance, HR, and IT to ensure seamless integration of travel and card programs.
  • Develop and maintain travel policies, procedures, and best practices that support compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor industry trends and regulatory requirements to ensure programs remain current and competitive.
  • Provide training and support to employees on travel and corporate card policies and tools.
Your background 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in category management, preferably within travel, corporate credit card, or related areas.
  • Proven program management skills with a track record of leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and supplier management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to influence at all organizational levels.
  • Experience with travel management systems and expense reporting tools is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, change-driven environment.
