Senior Planner - Transport Logistics

The opportunity:

Responsible for planning, executing and continuously optimizing the business operations by effectively managing daily transport.  Drive continuous improvement of T&L processes, tools and services. Ensure that the KPI targets are met and improved. Supports Business Function and/or Business Excellence Centers to ensure goods are shipped.  Develop, maintain, and improve transport / logistics processes to optimize inbound and / or outbound transportation events to external customers and internal factories.

How you’ll make an impact:


 

  • Develop and oversee CoE strategies to ensure a competitive advantage in Transport Operations.
  • Define and drive the implementation of the TTL strategy in the country, ensuring strong alignment and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate effectively with various internal and external partners to support operational objectives.
  • Work closely with factories, ensuring clarity in roles and responsibilities.
  • Drive sustainable and cost-efficient (TCO) transport solutions across the country.
  • Ensure adherence to TTL regulations related to sourcing processes, including preferred Incoterms for inbound and outbound goods, packaging instructions, and related requirements.
  • Ensure company health and safety policies are always implemented and adhered to.
  • Demonstrate versatility—able to work independently or as part of a team, and communicate effectively with authorities and government officials.
  • Proactively address potential transport challenges, make timely decisions, and derive effective solutions.
  • Possess strong negotiation and reasoning skills to prepare project funding bids and manage work within time and budget constraints.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key service providers.
  • Ensure the area of responsibility is well-organized, properly staffed, skilled, trained, and efficiently directed.
  • Guide, motivate, and develop direct and indirect team members in alignment with HR policies, including talent management and succession planning.
  • Demonstrate core values of safety and integrity by taking responsibility for personal actions and promoting a safe, ethical work environment.
  • Ensure safe transportation operations by engaging qualified and compliant service providers across the supply chain.
  • Ensure operational excellence for general cargo and heavy‑lift operations.
  • Promote and ensure proper implementation and rollout of the CoE for General Cargo & Heavy‑Lift transports across Business Units.
  • Initiate, drive, and/or support strategic cost‑saving initiatives and risk‑mitigation projects.
  • Address and escalate project activities that are non‑compliant with processes or procedures, or those not meeting savings targets.
  • Act as the liaison with the Exim & Trade Compliance organization.
  • Ensure all operations are executed by approved providers and align with the global TTL strategy.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:
 

  • Should have bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Science, Management, Engineering.
  • Must have 10 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, preferably in Transport, Trade, Logistics.
  • Hands on experience on various Microsoft tools & SAP Applications.
  • Strong Planning, Sourcing & Project management Skills.
  • Good influencing skills and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the capability to transform data into actionable plans.
  • Flexibility to travel 20%.
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
