Expertise - Farzad has been working with Hitachi Energy for over 10 years. He has held several sales and marketing positions in various countries and regions for Power Grid division. He is currently working as the Sales and Marketing for Generator Circuit-breakers based in Switzerland covering South America and Middle East market..

WETEX Contribution - (Speaker) With the rise in renewables, maintaining grid stability is a challenge. The introduction of new grid code has led to grid expansion and hybrid power generation is being adopted as possible solution. Some examples of hybrid generation are synchronous compensator and pumped storage applications, that support the grid in maintaining stability. Generator circuit-breakers play a key role in maintaining availability, safety and flexibility in these type of power plants all around the globe.
