The opportunity


The GPG Engineering End-to-End Process Manager is responsible to oversee and lead the entire engineering pro-cess within the Global Product Group (GPG) from creating tenders to supporting marketing quotations and providing Bills of Materials to manufacturing and towards ERP system; uses Lean methodologies and Digital Transformation to improve standardization, speed, and quality for customers and internal teams; supports the "Design Anywhere, Manufacture Anywhere" framework.
This role focuses on ensuring process efficiency and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The manager will collaborate with various stakeholders and ensure alignment with business objectives. Additionally, the role em-phasizes value stream process improvements, reduction of manual processes, and developing requirements for plat-form and tool teams to enhance the speed and quality of the design process; coordinates with factory Eng Process Managers and Digital Transformation Leads to ensure that best practices across the whole GPG are implemented for each product line

How you’ll make an impact ​

  • Develop, implement, and manage engineering processes to ensure high-quality output and efficiency.
  • Scale processes to fit various project sizes while retaining their intended value.
  • Conduct regular process reviews to ensure adherence and continuous improvement.
  • Lead Kaizen and Workshops to Identify and implement value stream improvements to enhance process efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Utilize Lean methodologies to streamline workflows, eliminate waste, and optimize resource utilization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (especially Sales, Operations and Procurement) to ensure alignment and integration of value stream improvements: have Engineering seen as part of the entire value chain
  • Use Process discovery to identify bottlenecks in process and suggest improvements.
  • Analyze current processes to identify areas with high manual intervention and develop strategies to automate these processes.
  • Implement digital tools and technologies to reduce manual tasks and improve process accuracy and speed.
  • Drive the above implementation in cooperation with the BU IT function – and stressing the concept of “Business Lead and IT Supported”
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of automation on process performance and make necessary adjustments.
  • Collaborate with platform and tool teams to define requirements that enhance the speed and quality of tools.
  • Ensure that tools and platforms are aligned with business needs and support the overall strategy.
  • Monitor the performance of tools and platforms, providing feedback and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Functionally lead a multinational team of Factory Eng Process Managers or Digital Transformation Lead to coordinate the common activity and ensure best practices between factories and across the  GPG.
  • Implement agile development setups and ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback and suggestions for process optimization.
  • Analyze results of internal and external audits to identify common areas of improvement.
  • Develop and share best practices across the engineering communities.
  • Ensure successful implementation of projects, delivering tangible business value.
  • Implement clear stages and decision points in the Engineering processes, as well as change management practices
  • Define requirements for the universal processes that are applicable in Engineering such as Design Review, Time Tracking, Project management Tool set etc
  • Work with cross functional teams to identify a common strategy for interfaces and process that are common across the product lines such as SAP.
  • Develop a blueprint for the PLM (Windchill) implementation in GPG I&C and support GPG Engineering Manager to define GPG PLM Strategy.
  • Work with IT Team and HUB Digital transformation leads to ensure above PLM strategy is implemented.
  • Lead Cross functional team to support design anywhere build anywhere strategy in Eng
  • Define and implement change management process for rolling out Global procedures/standards and tiered accountability in engineering.
  • Support establishing a process for Supplier collaboration across the GPG to boost this at BU level using above implemented Windchill /PLM methodology.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

  • Diploma with 15-20 yrs experience or master’s or bachelor's degree in engineering, Information Technology, or a related field with min 5-67years exp.
  • Advanced degree or certifications in project management is a plus.
  • Proven experience in managing complex projects, leading initiatives and managing multinational teams.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficiency in agile methodologies and project management tools.
