Associate Project Manager (Transformers)

The opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Project Manager to join our team, focusing on the successful planning, execution, and delivery of transformer-related projects. This role involves supporting senior project managers and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • You will assist in the development of project plans, including scope definition, objectives, timelines, resource allocation, and budget forecasting for transformer projects.

  • You will monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and proactively implement mitigation strategies, coordinate and communicate effectively with internal teams (engineering, manufacturing, procurement, sales) and external stakeholders (customers, suppliers) throughout the project lifecycle.

  • You will prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including status reports, meeting minutes, change orders, and technical specifications, facilitate project meetings, track action items, and ensure timely follow-up.

  • You will support the senior project manager in managing project budgets, tracking expenditures, and ensuring financial objectives are met.

  • You will contribute to the identification and implementation of process improvements within project management methodologies, ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.

  • You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:

  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial), Project Management, or a related technical field.

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in project coordination or project management, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Basic understanding of power transformers or heavy electrical equipment is highly desirable. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to issue resolution.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment. PMP or CAPM certification (or willingness to obtain) is a plus.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly.
