The opportunity

Hitachi Energy Transformer Business Unit in Greater China operates across 55 cities, employs over 1,900 staff, and manages 5 transformer manufacturing plants. More than 90% of its sales come from locally manufactured products. We offer a comprehensive portfolio of Transformers Products, Solutions and Services.  Transformers are essential in all electricity-related fields and applications, including power generation, transmission and distribution, oil, chemical and gas, industrial manufacturing, semiconductor and data centers, as well as building and transportation sectors.

How you’ll make an impact

1. You will implement product/service supplier sourcing and onboarding in accordance with global/BU SCM guidelines also will plan and drive the procurement strategies and align with cross functions at factory level.

2. You will initiate request for quotation (RFQ), pricing/terms negotiation and contracting with suppliers in accordance with global/BU SCM guidelines.
3. You will manage supplier performance of on time delivery (OTD), on quality delivery (OQD), payment terms, and drive cost saving/avoidance initiatives.
4. You will collaborate with sales and technical teams to optimize the material/service cost and lead time for specific tenders.
5. You will collaborate with engineering, production, services and quality to promote supplier on time and quality delivery also handle escalated supplier delivery/quality/service issues.

6. You will monitor the market dynamics of key materials, collect key information and forecast the market development trends.

7. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

Your background
1. You hold a bachelor’s degree and above, major in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering preferred.

2. Required with 2+ years' work experience in multi-national company preferred.
3. Good communication and negotiation skills, effective collaboration with stakeholders across functions.
4. Be a quick learner with the capacity to acquire new skills and knowledge.
5. Proficiency in ERP systems. SAP and Power BI preferred.
6. Use written/oral English as daily works.
