The opportunity
 

HVDC is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to work together with us in an international environment with plenty of opportunities. In this role you will be part of the Supplier Quality team that is dedicated to implement a culture and practice of excellence throughout the entire value chain of the organization, to increase customer satisfaction and improve profitability in a sustainable way. You will be working with supplier quality and development for HVDC Valve Components which could be described as the heart of the HVDC-station.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Drive Quality for assigned suppliers, improving quality performance via Quality plan implementation
  • Support new supplier onboarding by ensuring a robust qualification process execution
  • Own supplier results as measured by key metrics and identify area for improvements utilizing Supplier scorecards
  • Manage supplier Nonconformities (containment action, corrective actions and Root Cause Analysis) and analyze periodically historical NC to drive improvement plan
  • Planning, Execution and Follow up of Surveillance Audits (Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement)
  • Lead Supplier Quality Reviews to drive Continuous Improvement
  • Support Supplier claim management process
  • Role involves ~50% travel both domestic and international, including supplier visits for qualification audits, quality issues, process development, and inspections

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Production Engineering
  • 5+ years’ experience in quality roles in a multinational company
  • Solid communication skills for cross functional and global team environments
  • Green Belt certification is desirable
  • Experience in quality audit execution (certified quality auditor would be a plus)
  • Good knowledge or experience in manufacturing processes assessment
  • Experience in product qualification process (PPAP or similar)
  • Experience in quality methodologies
  • Fluency in both English and Swedish
