Hitachi Energy Transformer Business Unit in Greater China operates across 55 cities, employs over 1,900 staff, and manages 5 transformer manufacturing plants. More than 90% of its sales come from locally manufactured products. We offer a comprehensive portfolio of Transformers Products, Solutions and Services. Transformers are essential in all electricity-related fields and applications, including power generation, transmission and distribution, oil, chemical and gas, industrial manufacturing, semiconductor and data centers, as well as building and transportation sectors.

How you’ll make an impact
1. You will implement effective sourcing strategies in line with IC business strategy and regional/global Continuous Improvement Process Sourcing (CIPS) strategy to ensure that suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future IC business requirements.
2. You will ensure all relevant parties understand strategies and execute processes accordingly. Ensure alignment between local SCM activities and GPG/BU strategies.
3. You will collaborate with proposal, project, and category teams to determine necessary items for procurement during the project. Develop schedules, estimates, forecasts, and budgets to support project purchasing process.
4. You will implement programs to drive improvement in cost, quality, delivery and working capital (payment terms, lead times, order quantities and purchased material inventory).
5. You will secure full utilization of the Ariba platform according to relevant procedure, both related to sharing of supplier information and to finding existing high performing suppliers.
6. You will manage planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets, emerging country spending and savings forecasts. Ensure buyers minimize risk regarding quality and financial exposure by buying in accordance.
7. You will support the localization development of IC business from commercial perspective.
8. You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background
1. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Proven experience (3+ years) in a procurement or purchasing role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
3. Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships.
4. Solid understanding of procurement best practices, contract management, and supply chain principles.
5. Proficiency in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
6. Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed purchasing decisions.
7. Proactive and results-oriented with a strong problem-solving aptitude.
