Civil Design Lead

The opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Design Lead to oversee and guide civil engineering design activities for various energy infrastructure projects. This role involves leading a team of civil designers, ensuring technical excellence, project delivery within scope and budget, and adherence to all relevant standards and regulations.

How you'll make an impact:
* Lead and manage a team of civil design engineers and CAD technicians, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
* Oversee the conceptual design, detailed design, and engineering calculations for civil works related to substations, power plants, transmission lines, and other energy infrastructure projects.
* Develop and review civil engineering drawings, specifications, reports, and other project documentation.
* Ensure all designs comply with national and international codes, standards (e.g., IS, ACI, ASCE), and company policies.
* Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams including electrical, mechanical, structural, and environmental engineers.
* Participate in project planning, scheduling, cost estimation, and resource allocation.
* Conduct technical reviews and quality control checks of design deliverables.
* Identify and mitigate potential design risks and challenges.
* Present design solutions and project updates to internal and external stakeholders.

Your Background:
* Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited institution. Master's degree preferred.
* Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in civil engineering design, with at least 3 years in a lead or supervisory role, preferably within the energy sector.
* Proven expertise in the design of foundations, earthworks, drainage systems, roads, and other civil infrastructure for industrial or power projects.
* Strong understanding of relevant engineering software, including AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, and structural analysis tools (e.g., STAAD.Pro, SAP2000).
* Thorough knowledge of Indian and international civil engineering codes and standards.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
* Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
