Job Title: R&D Engineer – India Development CenterThe Opportunity:

You will be part of a dynamic engineering team that develops innovative tools, platforms, and infrastructure solutions for the Substation Automation Service business. In this role, you will work on modern web and cloud technologies, contribute to digital transformation initiatives, and collaborate with global teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. You will also gain exposure to Artificial Intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, and industrial digitalization, which are increasingly important in the solutions we build for our customers. You will help service teams support customers by providing tools, applications, and digital solutions that are reliable, intuitive, and secure.
You will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of cloud-based and web-based applications that improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions that address real-world challenges in the power and energy industry.
You will leverage modern development practices, including AI-assisted software development, to improve productivity and software quality.
Your work will help protect critical infrastructure from cybersecurity threats and attacks through features developed in the service tools.
You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, innovation programs, and the adoption of new technologies within the organization.

Your Background:

Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech/BE) in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Computer Science Engineering (CSE), or related disciplines.
Minimum 4 years of experience in software development using Azure Cloud, React.js, and .NET Core.
Strong experience in designing, developing, and maintaining web applications.
Experience working with GitHub Copilot and familiarity with AI-assisted software development practices and modern software engineering methodologies.
Good understanding of cloud-native application development, REST APIs, and microservices-based architectures.
Knowledge of software development best practices, including version control, code reviews, testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience in desktop application development is an added advantage.
Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts and secure software development practices will be considered a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills, learning mindset, and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Good communication skills and the ability to work with global stakeholders in a multicultural environment.
